Spend time discovering the glorious heritage of an ancient kingdom: Ankor Wat, Ankor Thom, Ta Prohm and the mystical Bayon at sunset. Then get a taste of life on one of Asia's largest lake's Tonle Sap.

Itinerary

Day 1:

After arrival in Siem Reap, spend the morning visiting the brick sculptures at Prasat Kravan and the mysterious Ta Prohm, virtually untouched since it was discovered. Then explore Takeo, Chau Say Tevoda and Thommanon. After lunch head for the well preserved temple of Preah Khan Built by King Jayavarman Vll, discover the splendid fountain in the lake at Neak Pean and visit the temples of Ta Som and Srah Srang, once used for ritual bathing.

Day 2:

After breakfast visit the world's most famous temple complex: Ankor Wat. Covering 200 acres this 12th century masterpiece with its five main towers is a veritable museum of classical Khmer art and architecture. After lunch it's off to the ancient capital of Ankor Thom and the splendid glory of the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King, and finally the 200 smiling faces of the 54 tower Bayon Temple, a truly spectacular sight at sunset

Day 3:

Following breakfast, head to the magnificent 10th century temple of Banteay Srei, the jewel in the crown of classical Khmer art. Then it's on to the floating village of Chong Khneas and a wooden boat ride on Tonle Sap lake, one of the largest in Asia, before heading back to the hotel for lunch. In the afternoon there's still time to visit "Les Artisans d' Ankor - Chantiers Ecoles" and, time permitting, a local market before transferring to Siem Reap Airport.
