Day 1:

Auckland
After arriving in Auckland, coach riders will have the day at their leisure. Fly/drivers must also collect their vehicles.

Day 2:
|
|
Auckland – Waitomo Caves – Rotorua
Drive or ride 235km south over Bombay Hills and into Waikato to Waitomo Caves and on to Rotorua. Enjoy a Hangi dinner at the hotel. (B, D)

Day 3:

|
Rotorua
You’ll visit Whakarewarewa Thermal Reserve, Paradise Valley Springs and the Agrodome Sheep Show. (B)

Day 4:
|
|
Rotorua – Wellington
Drive 460km to the nation’s capital via Lake Taupo and the Tahorakuri pine forests, Levin and several beach resorts. Stroll through the town at your leisure. (B)

Day 5:
|
|
Wellington – Picton – Kaikoura
Board the Interislander Ferry across Cook Strait to Picton on South Island and proceed to Blenheim and onto Kaikoura, a once quiet fishing village, now famous for its marine mammals. (B)

Day 6:
|
|
Kaikoura – Christchurch
Take a splendid scenic drive to Christchurch via Kaikoura. Visitors driving themselves can take in a whale watch tour (for an extra fee) before proceeding to Christchurch. (B)

Day 7:

|
Christchurch – Mount Cook – Queenstown
Travel 620km across the Canterbury Plains to Mount Cook, New Zealand’s tallest peak. Then drive over the Lindis Pass to Cromwell and follow the Kawarau River into Queenstown. (B)

Day 8:

|
Queenstown
Today is yours to spend as you choose, or you could take an optional tour of Queenstown at an extra cost. (B).

Day 9:
|
|
Queenstown – Christchurch
Travel 487km via the Lindis Pass and Lake Tekapo, crossing the Canterbury Plains to Christchurch. (B)

Day 10:

Christchurch
Depart Christchurch. (B)
